About the Business
As a family we had talked for years about opening a fish and chip shop, so in 2008 we decided to realise the ambition and open The Sea Tree. Our "fresh and chips" mission is simple; to offer you fresh, healthy and sustainable fish cooked to order. The Sea Tree is an 'alternative fish bar, ' offering traditional fresh fish and chips alongside alternative choices such as mackerel and calamari cooked the way you want; battered, grilled or pan-fried. We also have a wet fish counter where you can buy from our selection of fish or place an order for us to pick up from suppliers on the East Coast.
Aside from our wider selection of fish we have tried to cater for those who might have been put off their local chippie before now. We will always have vegetarian options, gluten free batter and healthy alternatives to chips just for the calorie counters! Whether you are eating in our restaurant or taking away we hope you will enjoy the care and enthusiasm that we put into our food.
