About the Business
Humphrey's is a traditional English Fish & Chip shop that has been established for over 50 years in the Kent area. The business was started buy James & Catherine Humphrey in the Sixties accumulating with there first Fish & Chip Shop in Patterns Lane Chatham. The business was extended by there son & daughter Jim & Joan Humphrey in the Seventies, they went onto open 5 shops in the Kent area. Since their retirement Jim's two Sons Chris & Andy have followed in the Humphrey family tradition.
Chris Humphrey has been established in the Fish & Chip industry since 1994. Chris worked in one of his Dad's shops when he was 15 as a chip boy then progressed to work in his brother Andy's shop in Meopham as Manager. March 2003 Chris left Meopham in search for a prime location for his first shop. March 2004 saw the opening of the well established & successful shop in Allington. In August 2006 Chris Bramley joined the Allington Shop as Assistant Manager with aspirations of one day owning his own shop.
