Beedles Chippy was established and opened in Bishop Auckland on the 21st of August 1991 (20 years in 2011). Throughout this time owner Peter Beedle has strived to achieve the highest of standards. In 1996 the shop was awarded the Seafish Quality award. One of the first 25 in the country to receive this award at a presentation at the Mayfair hotel in London. The staff has worked tirelessly to successfully achieve this national award for the past 14 years up till 2010 when in 2011 the National Federation of Fish Friers have taken over from Seafish and introduced the Fish and Chip Quality Award Scheme. Of course we will be striving to gain the highest 5 star standard.
