Anstruther Fish Bar and Restaurant

Generations of our family have lived and worked in the East Neuk of Fife - predominantly in the fishing industry and can be traced back as far as the late 1600s from father to son - all fishermen from this area of Scotland. My father and grandfather have been awarded MBEs for their services to the fishing industry, but being colour blind meant I could never skipper my own trawler, so in 1981 Alison and I set up our own fish processing business - Argofish, in nearby St Monans producing fresh, hand-filleted haddock to fish and chip shops and retail outlets in East and Central Scotland.

By effectively cutting out the middle-man we are now confidently sourcing only the finest quality seafood ourselves, directly from the local quayside each day and have essentially become our own main supplier to the Anstruther Fish Bar - a fundamental factor in increased customer confidence and our recent awards and recognitions.
